How to play

You carry the ball. Run up the field toward the orange end zone while teal defenders try to bring you down. Get tackled and the next play starts where you were hit. You have four downs to gain 20 yards (the yellow line) for a fresh set of downs — miss it and the drive starts over. A touchdown is worth 7 points and brings one more defender onto the field. You have 75 seconds of live play to score as much as you can.

On a phone

  • Hold the phone upright — no need to rotate.
  • Put your thumb anywhere on the lower-left of the screen and drag to run. Up is always toward the end zone.
  • Tap the big DASH button with your other thumb for a burst of speed. The ring refills when it is ready again.

On a computer

  • W A S D or the arrow keys to run.
  • Space to dash.
  • P or Esc to pause, Enter to play again after the clock runs out.

What makes it fun

Real ragdoll tackles

Every player is a chain of physics bodies with joints. Hits throw heads, arms and legs around differently every time, and the ball can pop loose and bounce.

Dash, truck and juke

Dashing into a standing defender knocks him flat. Defenders who are close will dive at you, though — change direction at the last moment and they sail past into the turf.

Defenders with a plan

One chases, one cuts off your angle, and a deep safety waits near the goal line. After each touchdown another defender joins in.

Made for vertical screens

The camera, field and controls are tuned for phones held upright, so the end zone stays ahead of you and your thumbs never cover the action.

FAQ

Is Ragdoll Football free?

Yes. It runs in your browser for free. There are no accounts, downloads, ads or in-game purchases in this version.

Does it work on my phone?

It is designed for phones held vertically first. Any recent phone browser with WebGL (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Samsung Internet) should work. Older or low-power phones automatically use lower graphics settings.

Is this the Roblox game or an official NFL game?

No. Ragdoll Football is an independent game built from scratch with its own art and code. It is not affiliated with Roblox, TikTok, the NFL or any team, and it uses no assets from them.

Is it real physics?

Yes. When someone gets hit, their body switches to a physics ragdoll made of eleven jointed parts (head, torso, pelvis, arms and legs) simulated with the Rapier physics engine, so no two tackles fall the same way. While running, players use a lighter animated controller and then get back up after a fall.

Can I play with friends online?

Not yet. This first version is single-player against computer defenders. Multiplayer is not available.

Does the game save anything about me?

Only your best score and your sound preference, stored in your own browser (localStorage). Nothing is sent to a server. See the privacy page for details.

About this game

Ragdoll Football is an independently made browser game inspired by the funny ragdoll football clips people share online. It is built with Three.js for graphics and the Rapier physics engine, with all characters and the field generated in code — no copied models, logos or music. Read more on the about page.
